Sudarshan Chakra

Sathi Bachao

The Tag Game version where the target also participates in the circle’s movement is an exciting variation that adds more dynamism and teamwork.

The objective is to protect the target from being tagged by the chaser while the target and defenders run together in a circular motion (like the spinning Sudarshan Chakra).

The Setup

Participants

One target: The person being protected.

A circle of defenders: Players forming a protective rotating circle around the target.

One or more chasers: Players trying to tag the target.

Formation

The target stands in the center of the circle.

Defenders form a moving circle including the target, keeping a fixed distance.

The Play

Movement

Both the target and the defenders move together as a unit while maintaining the circular formation.

The circle rotates as defenders adjust their positions to keep the target shielded from the chaser.

The target can move within the circle but must remain close to its center and align with the group’s movement.

Chaser’s Role

The chaser runs outside the circle, attempting to tag the target.

They must use speed, strategy, and agility to break through the circle or find an opening.

Defenders’ Role

Defenders rotate and move in sync with the target to block the chaser’s access.

They cannot physically push or grab the chaser but must use their bodies and movements strategically.

Target’s Role

The target actively participates by adjusting their position within the circle to avoid the chaser’s reach.

This requires coordination with the defenders.

Time Limit

Each round lasts for a set time (e.g., 2–3 minutes). If the chaser tags the target within the time, they win; otherwise, the defenders and target win.

Switching Roles

Roles rotate after each round so everyone gets a chance to be the target, defender, and chaser.

Winning Conditions

Chaser wins: If they successfully tag the target.

Defenders and Target win: If they prevent the chaser from tagging the target until the round ends.

Variations

Multiple Chasers: Increase the challenge by adding more chasers.

Dynamic Rules: Allow defenders to momentarily break the circle and regroup, creating more movement and strategy.

Benefits

1.Coordination: Enhances synchronization between the target and defenders.
2.Agility: Improves the physical fitness of all players through constant movement.
3.Strategic Thinking: Develops the chaser’s ability to anticipate

and exploit openings.

4.Unity: Strengthens the bond between participants through teamwork and communication.

This version of the Sudarshan Chakra Tag Game is a lively and symbolic activity, representing unity and collective effort to protect against challenges, making it both fun and meaningful.
